git-lfs
=======

In addition to the unit tests ran by autodep8 (``*_test.go``), git-lfs
also ships **integration tests** in ``t/``. See also ``t/README.md``.
You need to install your new git-lfs system-wide, and it will also
download a few dependencies::

  apt install curl
  cd git-lfs_3.3.0/
  debi  # populate /usr/bin/
  cd t/

  # fix-up t-path.sh
  make test-commands
  cp -a /usr/bin/git-lfs ../bin/

  # use a specific, cleaned-up directory instead of /tmp;
  # avoid issues when running tests multiple times
  export GIT_LFS_TEST_DIR=/tmp/git-lfs-t

  # all integation tests:
  make test
  # individual test file:
  make t-checkout.sh

Note: autopkgtest unit testing is broken for bookworm, and fixed later
with `this commit
<https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/git-lfs/-/commit/dbfda0013f91095c5d0deef778382a12469fa319>`_.
Not backporting this as it modifies the list of files in the `-dev`
package, and this is mitigated by running unit tests during the build.

**Testing with Salsa**

Salsa supports Git LFS, see
